But
~ that's nat going to heopen.
8 8o I'll be settafled if the federal court can
9 come here. because I know that there are not a lot of lawyers
t0 in Springfield. Lhora's moro in Eugene than there ere in
it Springfield, certainly, but there's enough Here that would
12 benefit from the federal court being sited hero.
t3 Me atroady have two courts in epringfieid
14 already, one is the Springfield Municipal Court. which is
t6 primarily a Lrafite court and nlatlamoanor court, but it
18 certainly draws a lot of lawyerc from Eugene.
it I don't practice in that court anymore but when
18 I did. I was always amazed at how many Eugene lawyers seemed
19 intsreetetl in coning to our municipal court Lo practice.
20 80 1f people tell you that Eugorw lawyers won't
21 come to Bprtngfiold, go Lo the Bprtngftold Nunicipal court
22 saaeLima and see what pose on over there. The other court 1s
23 Lhe fustico of the peeve court, which is a county court, that
24 1s niso in Springfioltl.
TY1.Z'25 And I'm talking about buildings now thnt are
Final EIS 254 New Federal Courthouse
