Comments and Responses-Letter 4
4. Debbie Lowder, Eugene
Water & Electric Board
After the issuance of the draft EIS,
the Eugene Water and Electric
Board (EWEB) site alternatives
(4A and 4B) were deemed
impractical and have been
eliminated from further
consideration. Alternative site 4A
was deemed impractical because of
its proximity to the Skinner Butte
Historic District. Alternative 4B
was eliminated from further
consideration because it lies within
the 500-Year Floodplain for the
Willamette River.
4.1-All references to the EWEB
electric plant have been revised to
read "EWEB steam plant." The
draft EIS on page 162, fifth
paragraph, sixth line does not
mention an electric plant but rather
states that there is a steam plant
located on the eastern portion of
the EWEB site; this statement has
not been changed.
4.2-Comment acknowledged.
None of the buildings on the
Alternative 4B sites are potentially
eligible for listing in the National
Register.
4.3-The sentence has been
revised to read " ...located south
of the Oak Hill School site in
southeast Eugene."
-° - ~ EttgeneYYatsr & EltseMo Bosh
~+d'.~ -rte,
EWEB ,ooes,+m,wrx,.isastoxo.aa.,m,e
Eq.ro t>trA«~e~asoxua
ssi~al/Mn r~a.r.tat~~taz
October u. taxi
John Marseh~rdt
!fetters F.nvironmenni Cacsultmts
221x15ixth Avmx.
