Project Description <br />The proposed project is to construct a building of 265,290 gross square feet and 80 secure <br />parking spaces for the new federal courthouse in the urban center of either Eugene or <br />Springfield, Oregon. The size and location of the facility would be designed to satisfy the <br />present and future needs of the U.S. Courts and related agencies. At occupancy, the new facility <br />is expected to house approximately 214 personnel from the courts and court-related agencies. <br />Architectural design of the courthouse building would begin following the identification of the <br />selected site as published in the record of decision. <br />Following construction of the new courthouse, the existing federal building/courthouse would <br />likely be occupied by federal agencies currently located in leased space.
