IV EXISTING ROOSEVELT YARD <br /> FACILITIES <br /> 1820 ROOSEVELT BOULEVARD <br /> i Public Works Maintenance and Parks and Open Space Division's operate primarily out of 1820 <br /> Roosevelt Boulevard. The Roosevelt Yard is approximately 13.87 acre site. Situated on the site <br /> are 21 independent structures which collectively serve 216 employees, 150 pieces of equipment, <br /> and various materials and supplies. With its central location, accessibility and modern <br /> ~ equipment, the Roosevelt Yard Facility is the cornerstone to the daily maintenance activities of <br /> Eugene's infrastructure and serves as a secondary center for emergency command of <br /> ~ operations in the event a regional disaster if one should occur. <br /> 1902 ROOSEVELT BOULEVARD <br /> Traffic Maintenance Section of Public Works Maintenance is located primarily on two distinct <br /> _ ~ sites. <br /> SITE 1 <br /> ' Site 1 is the main site at 1902 Roosevelt Boulevard. It is 39,000 sq. ft. in size or 130 feet wide <br /> (east/west) and 300 feet long (north/south). Site 1 is currently occupied by three buildings. <br /> Building #15 houses shop, office, small storage, and repair facilities. Building #16 is primarily <br /> used for vehicle and equipment parking. Building #17 serves as an equipment warehouse. <br /> Site 1 also has a storage yard that is paved with asphalt. All wooden sign poles and barricade <br /> post are stored in this area for reasons of security and easy access. <br /> SITE 2 <br /> Site 2 is approximately 64,000 square feet and is located north of Roosevelt Boulevard. Site 2 is <br /> the storage yard for street lighting and traffic signal poles. In addition, pull boxes, bolt cages, <br /> <br /> ~ , <br /> street lighting arms, transformer bases, guard-rails, concrete parking bumper blocks, and other <br /> materials that can be kept in the open are stored at this location. The yard is paved with asphalt <br /> and is fenced for security purposes. An OSHA-approved flammable materials storage unit, <br /> Building #19, was built on this site in 1993. It houses all paints, solvents, and other flammable <br /> materials for the Traffic Operations Section. <br /> 125 NORTH GARFIELD <br /> The Eugene Police Department (EPD) is currently constructing a Forensic Lab and Special <br /> Operations building on this site. The site is approximately 1.6 acres. <br /> E - 111 NORTH GARFIELD <br /> In 2002, this site was acquired for future expansion needs which are addressed later in the <br /> Roosevelt Yard Facility Master Plan. This site currently is the Westwood Trailer Park and <br /> storage units. The park provides 35 low .income spaces, awash/dryer facility, an 8 unit storage <br /> ,i unit and a cell phone tower which is under lease.
