Transportation Funding Secured <br />Capacity Enhancement <br />Chad Drive Extension from Old Coburg Road to Game Farm Road <br />Project Description: Extend Chad Drive to Old Coburg Road and upgrade Old Coburg Road to City <br />standards per the Arterial Collector Street Plan with two travel lanes, striped bicycle lanes, curb and gutter, <br />turn lanes, medians, sidewalks, street lights, street trees and storm water quality treatment. This project <br />will include a new signalized intersection at North Game Farm Road. Project has rolled prior year. <br />appropriation of $734,645. <br />This project meets priority measure 1 of TRANSPLAN Financial Policy #6 to preserve the functionality of <br />the existing transportation system by improving this street to City standards, priority measure 2 to improve <br />the safety, efficiency and capacity of existing transportation facilities by providing better access for <br />alternative modes and by extending Chad Drive to connect with Old Coburg Road, and priority measure 3 <br />to make major improvements to existing facilities by making alignment corrections in Old Coburg Road to <br />accommodate legal-sized vehicles.
