Document Structure <br />Projects listed in the CIP are arranged in the following order: <br />~ Category <br />bFunding Status <br />~ Subcategory <br />bProj ect <br />Category -Eugene's CIP is organized by functional program areas. At the beginning of each <br />category is an introduction reporting specific issues and tables listing the costs of individual <br />projects. The categories are: <br />• Airport <br />• Parks and Open Space <br />• Public Buildings and Facilities <br />• Stormwater <br />• Transportation <br />• Wastewater <br />Funding Status -Capital projects in the CIP are assigned one of four funding status levels. <br />Projects with funding secured and funding identified status are grouped together. At the <br />beginning of each funding status section is a table listing the capital projects included in that <br />section. <br />• Funding Secured -Projects with secured/dedicated funding such <br />as SDC and Assessment. <br />Funding Identified -Projects with a high likelihood of having <br />available funding such as state monies or ongoing grants. <br />• Funding Not Identified - A funding source is not identified within <br />the CIP Period. <br />• Placeholders -Generally these will be large, high profile projects <br />that are still in the decision process. <br />Funding Status <br />Projects with funding <br />secured and funding <br />identified status are <br />grouped together as <br />these will become the <br />basis for the next two <br />years of the annual <br />capital budget. <br />Subcategory -Projects in the CIP are assigned to a specific subcategory. Subcategory <br />represents a distinct area of capital improvement such as a preservation and maintenance activity <br />or construction of a new capital facility.
