CHAPTER IV <br />H-13. Evaluate opportunities for sponsorships to provide low- or no- <br />cost developmental youth programs. <br />Partnerships <br />H-14. Improve partnerships with River Road Parks and Recreation <br />District, School Districts 4J and 52, Lane Transit District, EWER, <br />Willamalahe Parks & Recreation District, Lane County Parks <br />and other public agencies to improve services and maximize <br />efficiency. <br />H-15. Continue cultivating positive, strong relationships with current <br />partners. <br />H-16. Partner with businesses to provide services and amenities, such <br />as vendors in parks. <br />H-17. Pursue and maintain effective partnerships with public, private, <br />and non-profit organizations to acquire, develop, and , <br />maintain parks, open space, and recreation facilities. <br />H-18. Consider partnerships for joint facility development and <br />maintenance for community centers, athletic fields, and. other <br />needed major facilities. <br />H-19. Formalize all partnerships through written agreements that <br />specify responsibilities, financial and other terms, including <br />provisions for how to transition or end partnerships. <br />H-20. Evaluate partnerships to review their effectiveness and to <br />identify areas for improvement. Ensure that liability is defined. <br />H-21. Continue supporting and building the effective West Eugene <br />Wetlands partnership programs. <br />H-22. Continue participating in regional open space efforts with <br />Rivers to Ridges partner agencies. <br />Volunteer Programs <br />H-23. Continue emphasizing community involvement and <br />volunteerism to involve individuals, groups, and businesses in <br />the planning, design, maintenance, operation, and <br />programming of parks and recreation facilities. <br />H-24. Further develop a coordinated volunteer recruitment, training, <br />and recognition program. <br />H-25. Develop additional volunteer opportunities for youth and <br />expand recruitment of youth volunteers by attending school <br />community service days. <br />
