FINAL 2008-2011 STATEWIDE TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM
Sellwood, and the park system along McLoughlin Blvd.
• Michael J. Wagner, Mulino Community Planning Organization &Mulino Elementary School
PTA: This citizen urges additional roadway from Graves Road to the Mulino intersection.
Various safety and design issues are raised. This project would be in addition to ODOT
Bridge Project Key No. 14794, OR213: Milk Creek Bridge #02120, and ODOT Project Key
No. 13723, OR213: Cascade Hwy South @ S Mulino Road. Various statistical information
was provided reflecting the accident history of this area is in excess of twice the 2004 state-
wide average crash rate. This citizen has issue with Clackamas County's decision to fund
only the Sunnyside/Sunrise & SE 172nd project along with only two county bridges from the
funding available. Reconsideration of funding allocations is requested for the 2008-2011
STIP. (A total of three letters were received from this individual dated, 11/17/06, 11/24/06
and 11/27/06.)
• Tom Sullivan, President, Charbonneau Country Club: Supports the ODOT Project Key No.
15108, I-5: Pacific Hwy @ Wilsonville Interchange.
• Lisa Wright-Wilson, Chair, Oregon City Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee: En-
courages support for Transportation Enhancement Project McLoughlin Promenade's Con-
crete Railing Restoration.
General Comments:
• Joyce: Citizen requests details on K13724, OR 213 Mollala Ave -Meadow Ave.
• Karen Buehrig: I support the Oregon City application for TE to work on the Oregon City
Promenade. This is an extremely important historic resource that is used by all people - Pro-
ject 67-McLoughlin Promenade Restoration.
• Marilyn Morrissey: 1) McLoughlin Blvd @ downtown Oregon City hinders the develop-
ment of a connection between the river and downtown Oregon City. 2) I would like more
accessibility to the "cove" area of Oregon City to enable development.
• Dale C. Chambers: 1) The bridges need to be upgraded and painted. 2) Formation of RTP-
Rural Transit District-to be run by counties-rural bus service to main arterials. 3) Resurface
roads and freeways. 4) Increase ten-fold bus service in the region. 5) Van pooling, car pool-
ing, and Least Mile Traveled Program. 6) Employer -worker incentive to work close to
home. 7) Light rail extension from Clackamas Town Center to Wilsonville, Oregon. 8) Ex-
cise and sales tax on vehicles.
Dan Lerch-Walters: As a member of the Sullivan's Gulch N.A., I have been asked to gener-
ate support for the Sullivan's Gulch Off-Street Bike/Ped trail from the Esplanade to Gateway
with a connecting path from the I-84 trail @ 122nd to the I-205 trail. More information is
available at the Sullivan's Gulch N.A. website. This trail will connect downtown Portland,
Convention Center, Lloyd Center, Hollywood & Gateway.
Discussions•
• Dick Jones: Supports Bk5026, Trolley Trail: Arista St to Glen Echo
• Barbara Zeller: Supports Bd6127, Boones Ferry Road: Red Cedar Way to S of Reese Road
citing safety concerns which would be addressed by this project.
• Alice Norris, Mayor, City of Oregon City: Support of Bd5134, McLoughlin Blvd: Clacka-
mas River to Dunes Drive; Transportation Enhancement application, McLoughlin Prome-
nade: Parapet Wall Restoration; and, ODOT project Key No. 15049, OR99E: River Road to
Page 360
