Executive Summary _ ~ WBAC FINAL REPORT <br /> In recentyearstheCityofEugenehasbeenactivelyworkingtowardthe 5th, and sponsored two public workshops. Additionally, an Arts Walk <br /> revitalization of West Broadway through implementation of policies public information event featured visualdisplays of concepts for the <br /> contained in the Downtown Vision document and the Downtown West Broadway area, and drew comments from hundreds of residents. <br /> -Plan. The efforts thus far have helped transform West Broadwayfrom The level of public interest at the two three-hour workshops was <br /> a failing pedestrian mall into amulti-modal retail street; in 2003 design high: a total of more than 400 Eugene residents turned out, and the <br /> standards were adopted for the Broadway redevelopment area, committee received literally hundreds of written comments from <br /> and recently in response to council direction the city has acquired members of the community at the workshops and via email and letter. <br /> purchase options on key properties along West Broadway. The West Broadway Advisory Committee (WBAC) was <br /> asked to identify specific preferences in relation to four key elements <br /> of urban design and planning: 1) design elements, 2) mix of uses, 3) <br /> public open space, and 4) options for parking.
