Through strategies identified in the Neighborhood Empowerment
Action. Plan, the objectives of enhancing effective public engagement,
empowering neighborhood associations and focusing service delivery to best-
. meet identified neighborhood needs, should be achieved.
.Hospital; A full service hospital is currently being proposed for the far north end
of our community in the north Gilham neighborhood. Likewise, PeaceHealth Medical Group is proposing
that an emergency department operation be retained at the current Hilyard Street
campus. The progress of .these projects, as well as the Mayor and City Council
.Goal of bringing a full service Hospital to Eugene, could have major impacts on
the redevelopment efforts~in downtown.
H..
