Capacity in the Creek is limited
and during heavy rain events the Creek floods. The Maintenance Division recently completed some
temporary excavation to relieve some flooding problems. Gray Creek is expected to become a major
drainage canal as further development occurs in this basin. This project is very complex because of
existing and needed easements, wetlands, and permits from other jurisdictions.
Relation to Plans:
Relates to the City's storm conveyance system and future developments.
_ „~
R~ s Y '.41^w
r ~ l`d 17I
.~_~. ~ F:
-={:;
p1 :`~i~
F r
~.
~f: . , ~` _
~. ,.-
_;
~~;~_
Maintenance Impacts:
Gray Creek is a recent addition to the City's storm water conveyance system. Until recently the City has not expended funds for this creek. Typically this
funding is to provide new infrastructure to support growth;, new infrastructure requires maintenance.
Page 111 - 22
