Federal law requires that 25% of all money received by the federal <br />government from a national forest be paid to the state in which the forest is located. Revenues <br />from the national forests are to be used for the benefit of public schools (25%) and public roads <br />(75%) of the counties in which the forest is located. <br />7 <br />
