Level of Information about City Government <br />Seventy-nine percent of respondents feel "somewhat informed" or "well informed" regarding <br />Eugene City Government issues, up from 72% in 2003. <br />Sources of Information about City <br />Nearly two-thirds of respondents (65%) have read their neighborhood newsletter in the past <br />year, up substantially from previous years. Thirty-five percent have watched government access <br />TV in the past year, similar to 2002 and 2003, but down substantially from earlier years. Thirry- <br />five percent have visited the Ciry website in the past year, a new high. Twelve percent reported <br />viewing Working City, which debuted in 2004. Seventeen percent did none of the above <br />activities, down significantly from 42% in 2003. <br />City Publications <br />The Ciry was interested in learning how effective it is in reaching citizens with a variety of <br />publications. More respondents recalled receiving the Recreation Guide than any other City <br />publication. Eighty-five percent of respondents said they received the Recreation Guide, up from <br />62% from 2003. <br />Internet Access <br />More than three-quarters (77%) of respondents say they have Internet access at home, up from <br />70% in 2003. <br />Citizen Participation <br />Respondents were asked if they are satisfied with the opportunities for citizens to give input on <br />city decisions. Nearly three-quarters (73%) of respondents reported that they are "very" or <br />"somewhat" satisfied with the opportunities provided for citizen input, representing no <br />significant change from 2003 data. <br />City Government <br />Respondents were asked if they are satisfied with city government in Eugene. Sixty-one percent <br />say they are "very" or "somewhat" satisfied with City government in Eugene, while citizen <br />dissatisfaction was up 10 percentage points from 2003. <br />Downtown Eugene <br />Respondents were asked if they are satisfied with Downtown Eugene the way it is today.
