<br />Pec~era~Priorities 2007 Transportation <br />', <br />I <br />Project Performance <br />~ <br />~ • Cost-Effectiveness -The Transportation System User Benefifi (TSUB) is the primary <br />j measure of cost-effectiveness used by FTA for New Starts projects. The TSUB for the <br />~ Pioneer Parkway EmX is $7.52, which is well below the $20 threshold required to be <br />"recommended" by FTA. <br />~ <br />~ <br />• Project Cost -The total projecf cost is currently estimated to be $37 million, less than what <br />was anticipated in SAFETEA-LU. This project is authorized for $31 million in that bill ~ <br />Current Status ~~ <br />• Local Project Approval -The Pioneer Parkway EmX Project was approved by the <br />Springfield City Council, the Lane County Commissioners, and the LTD Board in November <br />. <br />.2006. <br />_ ,, <br />• Federal Funding Request -LTD has submitted a Small Starts funding application and ~ , <br />expects to be recommended in the .New Starts .Report to be released by FTA: in late <br />February 2007. <br /> <br />• Advancement to Project Development - On December 8, 2006, FTA approved LTD's <br />Request to Enter Project Development. This allows LTD to proceed with final design and <br />engineering and keeps the project on track fora 2010 service start. <br />Local Fundin -LTD was awarded a 5.4 million rant throu h the State of Ore on s <br />9 9 9 9 <br />ConnectOregon program.
