In the Eugene area <br /> they hibernate in basalt <br /> outcroppings such as at <br /> Spencer's Butte(pers. comm. <br /> Titus . <br />Northern red- SoC SV M M L M L L L Occurs in meadows, Bull frog introduction and habitat alteration have <br />legged frog woodlands and forests but is had a significant negative impact on this <br /> usually found near ponds, species. Potential habitat exists in Eugene but <br /> marshes and streams, favoring sitings are uncommon (pers. comm. Castillo) <br /> areas with dense ground cover <br /> and aquatic or overhanging <br /> vegetation. In non-breeding <br /> season it occurs up to 300 <br /> yards from standing water. <br />
