OR 126W FLORENCE-EUGENE HIGHWAY CONDITIONS REPORT - 2001 <br />interactive links within this report enables you to easily jump from <br />chapter to section to map and appendix, and back. This format also <br />enables the use of hyperlinks that can take the on-line user directly to <br />other related sources of information on the Internet. <br />This report is one step in planning for the future of the major <br />transportation facility between Oregon's second largest city and the <br />coast. '.The future conditions predicted to occur without investing in <br />126W, or transportation systems that may affect travel on 126W, create <br />a case'.for action. By defining the problems that 126W travelers may <br />face, this report serves two purposes. First, it will help ODOT focus its <br />planning efforts on the most significant problems. Second, it will act <br />as a catalyst for further discussion about how best to invest in 126W <br />so that it can continue to be an asset to the people of Oregon and, <br />in particular, residents and other regular users of the corridor. <br />The next phase in planning for the future of 126W is to determine which <br />transportation improvement alternatives will best protect and improve <br />travel conditions in the corridor.
