All such leases for facilities are classified as operating leases and expire within the next five <br />years. The total rental expense for the year ended June 30, 2008, for operating leases was $677,312. Most of <br />these leases for facilities contain an option whereby the City can, after the initial lease term, renew its lease for <br />periods of one to ten years.
