Capital Budget Highlights <br />_ _.... <br />Overview <br />A capital budget of $33:6 million is proposed for new projects beginning in FY08. This <br />budget is approximately $10.9 million greater than the amount budgeted for new projects <br />in FY07. As with the capital budget in FY07, many of the projects are larger scale- <br />endeavors funded by new and/or external revenue sources to the City. <br />Some of the larger projects budgeted for FY08 are: <br />Millions <br />• Neighborhood and Community Park Acquisition -Acquire land $5.8 <br />to provide additional neighborhood and community parks. <br />• Street and Alley Preservation -Improve existing streets and $4:2 <br />alleys through overlays and surface treatments and reconstruct <br />deteriorated roadways. <br />• Natural Area Park Acquisition -Acquire land for natural area parks. $2.9 <br />• Golden Gardens Acquistion and Development -Continuation of $0.5 <br />this project to expand and construct facilities at Golden Gardens Park. <br />City of Eugene Capital Budget <br />.
