NOTICE OF INTENDED RULEMAIONG PROPOSED ADOPTION OF STANDARDS FOR GEOLOGICAL AND GEOTECHNICAL ANALYSIS ADMINISTRATIVE RULE R-9.6710. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to the authority contained in Sections 2.019 and 9.6710 of the Eugene Code, 1971, the City Manager pro tem of the City of Eugene, intends to adopt Standards for Geological and Geotechnical Analysis Administrative Rule R 9.6710 that: Sets forth the investigation and report content necessary .for preparation of ~ a geological and geotcchnical analysis that ensures that for planning review and approval, public and private facilities in developments in azeas of known or potential unstable soil . conditions aze located, designed, and constructed in a manner that provides for the public health, safety and welfare. The proposed~rules aze necessary to ensure the orderly implementation of provisions of . Chapter 9 of the Eugene Code, 1971 that require submission of a geological and geotechnical analysis, and may ` be reviewed at the office of the Engineering Development .Review Manager, Public Works Department, 858 Peazl Street, Eugene, Oregon 97401 during normal business hours (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, exclusive of holidays). All persons wishing to comment thereon or object thereto must submit their comments or objections to the Engineering Development Review Manager, Public Works Department, 858 Pearl Street, Eugene, Oregon 97401, in writing, within thirty (30) days of the date of the first publication hereof, as indicated below The City Manager will thereafter adopt the rules as proposed, or as modified in response to comments received, to be effective as provided therein.
