Where the City is uncertain. about the h7cely <br />success of the proposed measures, the City may issue the permit, and monitor the site to determine <br />whether the measures are achieving the outcomes. If the erosion prevention measures have not been <br />successful in achieving those outcomes, the. City may require the submission of an amended <br />construction site management plan or implementation of other changes or measures that will ensure <br />compliance in achieving the outcomes:. <br />R-6.645-B Definitions. <br />In addition to the definitions contained in Sections 6.406 ofthe Eugene Code,1971, as used <br />in these rules, the following words and phrases mean <br />Adjacent.property. Property iri close pro~nity to a consh action site, and potentially <br />subject to erosion, sedimentation, or construction material impacts resulting from the <br />construction activity. <br />Annual landscape activities. Activities necessary to maintain the health and function <br />of developed landscaped areas, including but .not 1T<nited : to: tl7ling, sodding, .mowing, <br />. aerating, and pruning. <br />~~" Bestmanagementpractices (BMP's). Physical, structural, and/ormanagerialpractices <br />employed to .avoid or mitigate erosion, sedimentation, or contamination of the City's <br />stormwater system and related natural resource areas, or to otherwise meet'the requirements <br />of this rule. <br />Certified professional A person with a background or training in erosion prevention <br />techniques and who holds a license or certification to practice in Oregon in one of the <br />following professions: engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, geology, or is in a <br />siml~lar profession as determined by the City Manager; or a person who is certified as a <br />professional iil erosion and sedimentation control by the International Erosion Control <br />Association, or any other simfiar organization, or by the City, as determined by the City <br />Manager. <br />City manager.
