collect the applicable permit fees at the time of permit approval. <br />2.H.8 Ex irp ation. <br />TSPs shall be valid for a period not to exceed 6 months from the date of approval. Work may not <br />be performed under an expired permit. Permit renewals shall follow the same process as that used <br />for a new permit. <br />Section 3: CONSTRUCTION WITHIN THE PUBLIC WAY. <br />3.A STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS. <br />The Standard Specifications (City Standards) that are applicable to work within the public way are <br />those City adopted standards as published by the Oregon Deparhnent of Transportation, and the <br />American Public Works Association, as modified through published amendments by the City of <br />Eugene, and/or as modified by these special provisions. In addition, placement of facilities within <br />the public way shall conform to applicable design standards for local streets contained in Desi;?n <br />Standards for Eugene Streets, Sidewalks, Bikeways and Access wa„~s, current edition. <br />The Standard Specifications and technical provisions contained herein are minimum standards for <br />~' work performed within the public way. Occasionally, the City will require additional provisions <br />specific to an individual permit. These special provisions will be listed on the approved permit and <br />will supplement or supersede the Standard Specifications. <br />3.B TECHNICAL PROVISIONS (PLACEMENT OF FACILITIES). <br />All construction and maintenance work performed by the pernuttee shall be done in a manner <br />designed to leave all areas in which work was performed in a condition as near as possible to, if not <br />better than, that which existed before the work began. A "patched" appearance is detrimental to the <br />abutting properties, and both the permittee and the City should make efforts to avoid this wherever <br />possible. <br />Placement of facilities within the public way shall conform to plans, codes, administrative rules, and <br />the Standard Specifications adopted by the City.
