AUTHORITY <br />1.. The Eugene Municipal Airport is owned and operated by the`City of <br />Eugene, a municipal corporation, organized under the statutory <br />authority of the State. of Oregon. <br />2. The City of Eugene assumes no responsibility for loss, in3ury~ or <br />damage to persons or property by reasons of fire, thefts vandalism, <br />wind, flood, earthquakes, or collision. . <br />3. These rules govern the conduct of persona at the Eugene Municipal <br />Airport, and person s operating aircraft within the Eugene Munici~ <br />pal Airport traffic, pattern. <br />!t. In the absence of the Airport Manager the Assistant Managers shall <br />perform the Manager ~s duties. <br />SECTION I DEFINITIONS <br />1. City -The City of Eugene. <br />2. Airport -The land and facilities known as tha Eugene Municipal <br />Airport. <br />3. ,Persona - 'Person" means any individuals firms co-partnership, <br />corporation, compan4y, associations point stock association, or <br />body political, and includes any trustees receiver, aeignee~ or <br />similar representative thereof. <br />l~. Aircraft - Contrivances used for the navigation of air or space <br />including airplanea~ airahipa~ dirigiblea~ helicoptepe~,gliders~ <br />amphib ians~ and seaplanes. <br />5. Landing Area - Area of 1and~ temporarily or permanently designated <br />by the City for the landing and take-off:of aircraft. • <br />6. Apron Area -Area adjacent to the loading gates hangera~ or similar <br />structures used for the loading or unloading•of passengers and car- <br />go to and from aircraft. <br />7. Aircraft parking and storage area -Area for-the parking and storage <br />of aircraft. • <br />8. Vehicular parking area - The area designated for•the parking of <br />highway vehicles. <br />9. Airport roads and streets -Portions of the airport designated for <br />roads. • <br />10. Operator -Owner or persona f3rm~•or corporation controlling the <br />operations of aircraft or highway vehicles. <br />-1- • <br />
