SMITH Tammy D

From:
AANDERUD Kris
Sent:
Wednesday, February 04, 2009 1:27 PM
To:
RISDAL Lacey L; SMITH Tammy D
Cc:
ZUCKER Richard; BELLMORE Mike
Subject:
FW: N Game Farm Road (GJN 4376) - Trees
Follow Up Flag:
Follow up
Flag Status:
Red
Hi Lacey & Tammy,

Looks like we are starting to move this process in the right direction, but I have a couple
of questions. I want to be sure I understand where the $400 per tree is coming from.
Is it from the Administrative Order that establishes the cost for street tree
development for private developers? Is so, this will understate the actual costs for the
trees and planting. Since 99% of PWE projects will be impacted by BOLI / Davis-Bacon
prevailing wage rates, the rates are significantly higher for planting these trees.

Mike Bellmore was here this afternoon asking where the additional costs would be
charged to and it seems to me that if they are actual costs of the project, we need to be
certain that we are using the correct information to get adequate funds to GJN 50130.
We may be... but I just want to be certain.

Mike also said that he has not been charging this GJN for PWE street tree projects. Is
there any assessment that should be done for previous project to adjust prior (probably
prior year) coding? I would be happy to research if I knew what I was looking for.

Thanks for brainstorming with me and checking into this for me. Kris

PS - the project # listed below by Mike is incorrect. It should be GJN 50130 and
Project #975214, Thanks. K

From: BELLMORE Mike
Sent: Wednesday, February 04, 2009 1:08 PM
To: ZUCKER Richard
Cc: AANDERUD Kris
Subject: FW: N Game Farm Road (GJN 4376) - Trees

All;
This is the account code sent to me by PWE for the planting and establishment of street trees on North Game
Farm Road. It appears that we need to adjust our billing and journal entry for future work. If I understand it
correctly, all PWE projects will now be billed to GJN 50130, Project #9758212, PWM Trees Capitol Projects. I'm

new to the planting portion of this program and really appreciate any assistance you might be able to provide.

Thanks, Mike

2/19/2009
