I had a conversation with Mia Carriaga today about how we can accomplish the goal of committing the PWA <br /> FY08 funds for the upcoming leasehold improvement project at 101 E. Broadway. She said it was possible to do this with <br /> a signed lease option agreement that contained the following elements: <br /> 1) A statement that the specific scope of work for improvements was yet to be negotiated; <br /> 2) A statement that the city's share of that work would not exceed $108,100 [I'd like to talk to you about the pros/cons of <br /> making such a statement....]; <br /> 3) A strong clause as to what the city's commitment would be if this lease option is terminated. <br /> This is where we would propose committing these FY08 resources: <br /> 01 1-891 0-61 739 $ 14,046 <br /> 131-8910-61739 $ 19,067 <br /> 533-8910-61739 $ 3,428 <br /> 534-8910-61739 $ 27,023 <br /> 535-8910-61739 $ 39,947 <br /> 631-891 0-61 739 $ 3,963 <br /> 632-8910-61739 626 <br /> Total $108,100 <br /> I told Mia we would probably run a draft of this agreement by her before signing, just to make sure we'd hit the mark in <br /> terms of an agreement that would enable us to encumber these funds by June 30.
