Subject: G]N Work Types- Capital Project Alternates
Recap:
We meet last week to discuss options for tracking PSFseparately without creating unnecessary
additional GJN's.
Anew set of work types to be used on specific GJN/projects that require us to report PSF charges
separately from other types of fundjrig...such as bond vs. grant '
Solution:
These work types will only be added to a project when requested and required as needed to clearly
identify the difference in PSF expenses when using various types offunding and reporting it. Reports
wjll need to be ran out of
Job Costing to get this detail ofinformation. Keep in mind that we are only
able to adjust a line of time in Job Costing once and they close the system at Fiscal Year end in June of
every year (roughly). Please make sure you review timesheets and coding of timesheets at any time
these codes will be used to avoid any unnecessary adjustments.
Here is a list of work types. Please review descriptions and let me lozow if you need something else
(make sure I heard your needs correctly) or in addiffon to the list. I will leave it up to you to contact
PWM when you are needing them to use these codes, please flag me as well as I will need to add
them and look for them in reports.
I spoke with Randal Dale last week and he is fine with using one code for his staff. I have not spoke to
Steve Gallup regarding his team'but 1 do not see it being an issue, (Steve, please speak up ifl am
assuming incorrectly).
1400 PRALT- Plan Review & Administration w/GJN (631-9330)
1401 PRALT- Inspection & Construction Related Activities w/GJN (631-9330)
1402 PRALT- Support w/GJN (631-9310)
1403 PRALT- Survey w/GJN (631-9350)
1404 PRALT- TOPOG w/GJN (631-9330)
1410 PRALT--PWM Transp Review & Inspection w/GJN (632-9424) ,
1411 PRALT- PWMTraffic Ops w/GJN (632-9424)
1412 PRALT- Urban Forestry w/GJN (632-9650)

Am I missing anything? Once I hear back from you I will get these added.
Matt,
Please provide a list of projects we will need these work types added to.
I went ahead and cc: other possible staff who may need to know this information.
Debbie Clark
City of Eugene
Public Works Administration
(541) 682-5728
Your patience and kindness must 6e as solid as Chz momtlains, if you are uo acquire undersiandin~ and wisdom. -Snow Stoney 61dcr
3
