As a result, we may not realize the negative effects it maybe having on
our health, our productivity, and our relationships. In fact, studies have shown that 43% of all adults suffer health
effects from stress. Many of us complain about being "overwhelmed," "burned out," and "exhausted," yet we may
feel that there is little that we can do about it.
~ The good news is that there are proven strategies that we can use to reduce the stress in our lives and to improve our
ability to cope with the stressors that we encounter.
Participants in this workshop will:
• Develop an understanding of the basic concepts of stress and resilience.
• Gain insights into personal stressors and how they are affecting your life.
• Learn strategies to effectively manage stress and build resilience.
• Develop an action plan that is realistic, flexible, and can be implemented immediately.
Date: Thursday, 2/26/04 City of Springfield

!
