This includes trainings that cover general employment policies, to <br /> trainings on the use of computers and various software, to safety and risk related <br /> trainings and finance/budget trainings. Specific training needs by employee, <br /> classification, work group or division are identified and managed by the division, <br /> often in consultation with HRRS. Where possible, divisions work together to offer <br /> ( trainings to others in the department, so as to make the best use of training dollars. <br /> External trainers and/or Consultants are selected through either a public <br /> bid/re uest for ro o al <br /> q p p s /qualifications, or by selecting the consultant from a <br /> qualified pool of providers determined by Purchasing. <br /> Supervisors are expected to review employee training records annually to ensure <br /> training requirements are being met. Each division is responsible for managing on- <br /> the job or cross training requirements and opportunities. Safety trainings are <br /> offered through the Safety and Loss Control, Health and Fitness, the department <br /> Safety Coordinator and department safety committees. <br /> <br /> ' Many job classifications (such as lead workers and supervisors) list training of <br /> others as a job requirement.
