CAREER DEVELOPMENT: ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN <br /> Posting Period: May 3-14, 2004 <br /> Page 3 <br /> Ability to: (cont.) <br /> Produce assessment calculations and drawings according to City Code. <br /> Read, interpret, and write legal property descriptions. <br /> Maintain accurate records and prepare reports. <br /> Read and interpret construction plans. <br /> Work effectively with others in steam-oriented environment. <br /> Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with coworkers, contractors, and the general public. <br /> Perform physical duties outside under varying weather conditions. <br /> Carry heavy objects over steep and rough terrain, swing machete. <br /> Drive hubs and stakes for long periods of time in inclement weather. <br /> Provide and wear personal protective equipment as required. <br /> Obtains skill in: <br /> Using conventional and electronic engineering and survey equipment. <br /> Using computer-aided drafting and design software and equipment to produce engineering drawings. <br /> Minimum Requirements. <br /> Experience: <br /> One and a half to two years' experience in civil engineering survey, drafting, inspection work, or deed <br /> research. <br /> Training• <br /> Associate's degree in civil engineering technology. . <br /> Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted. <br /> License or Certificate <br /> Requires valid Oregon Driver's license or ability to obtain by date of hire.
