1l.3 (;omplaints arising under this Article concerning selection are not grievable <br /> „ , under Article 35 of this Agreement. <br /> Article 13 <br /> EXISTING BENEFITS/WORK RULES <br /> ' 13.1 Nothing in this Agreement is intended to nullify existing wage or other <br /> j economic benefits to employees under current policies, practices, and work <br /> rules, unless specifically included in this Agreement. To the extent that any <br /> proposed changes in work rules or working conditions consist of or affect <br /> mandato sub ects of bar ainin the Ci a ees to collective) bar ain the <br /> I rY j g~ g~ tY Y g~ <br /> mandatorily negotiable aspects of the change(s). <br /> 13.2 Nothing in this Agreement is intended to restrict the right of the City to <br /> adopt, change, or modify reasonable work rules or procedures necessary for <br /> the safe, orderly, and efficient operation of City services. The City agrees to <br /> provide a copy of new or revised work rules to the Union and employees <br /> covered. For changes on permissive subjects of bargaining, the City and the <br /> Union acknowledge the mutual objective of involving employees <br /> <br /> f voluntarily in those decisions that affect their work environment. The City <br /> agrees to consider reasonable alternatives to new or existing work rules and <br /> policies proposed by the Union and/or affected employees, and, when <br /> feasible, to attempt to reach consensus through facilitated group process. <br /> The City and the Union agree that the JLMRC is the appropriate forum to <br /> provide Union input and recommendations on changing existing or <br /> developing new work rules and policies affecting a significant portion of the <br /> bargaining unit. <br /> Article 14 <br /> ACTING-IN-CAPACITY <br /> 14.1 a. Any employee designated to act-in-capacity (AIC) in a higher position <br /> than her/his regular classification shall receive an increase after one <br /> day in the assignment, or eight (8) hours in two (2) or more working <br /> days within a pay period, except in instances of a specified training <br /> program or for the AIC assignments specified in 14.8 below. <br /> b. If an employee is assigned to work AIC for more than one day, AIC <br /> pay will be paid from the beginning of the assignment and continue <br /> for the remainder of the assignment. If an employee is assigned AIC <br /> for more than eight (8) hours in two (2) or more days in the pay <br /> period, AIC pay will be paid from the beginning of the assignment <br /> and continue for the remainder of the pay period. <br /> ~n <br /> <br />
