certification not required for her/his classification but specified at a higher <br /> classification level. <br /> 14.9 It is not necessary that the employee be assigned all the duties of a higher <br /> level job; however, the duties to be performed must represent a substantial <br /> ' change in the scope and level of responsibility over the employee's regular <br /> duties. Supervisors/managers may confer with HRRS if necessary in making <br /> E <br /> this determination. <br /> 14.10 Long term AIC assignments will be reviewed at six (6) months by the <br /> supervisor/manager, the Union, and HRRS. Assignments normally should <br /> not last longer than one (1) year. <br /> ( 14.11 As stated in Article 14.1, employees in training situations are not eligible <br /> for AIC. This includes any type of cross-training designated by the <br /> supervisor/manager or requested by the employee or any career <br /> ~ development opportunity. Generally, training programs will be for a <br /> maximum of a one (1) year period. If they are going to be extended beyond <br /> one (1) year, the situation should be reviewed as specified in 14.10. <br /> 14.12 AIC assignments can only be made to fully qualified employees, not those <br /> who lack the minimum qualifications to do the assignment. Conversely, any <br /> training opportunity should clearly establish the standards which should be <br /> <br /> ~ met for the trainee to advance to the fully qualified level. Once this level <br /> is reached and the employee is asked to continue to perform the new duties, <br /> AIC will be paid. <br /> Article 15 <br /> LEAD WORK COMPENSATION <br /> Employees assigned lead responsibility over others, when there is no higher <br /> classification in the series, shall receive a lead worker p remium o f f ive p ercent <br /> (5%). Wastewater Tech IIIs designated as lead workers shall also receive a <br /> premium of five percent (5%). <br /> Article 16 <br /> SALARIES <br /> 16.1 SALARY ADJUSTMENTS <br /> a. Effective the pay period following ratification of this Agreement, all <br /> full-time AFSCME employees will receive a one time lump sum payment of <br /> $200. This amount will be pro-rated for part-time employees based on their <br /> schedule for the prior fiscal year. <br /> b. Effective September 23, 2001 through June 30, 2002, salaries for <br /> employees covered by this Agreement shall be in accordance with the <br /> <br />
