ADMINISTRATIVE AIDE III City of Eugene <br /> #0044, Range 15-0 4/00 <br /> EEO Cat: 6, FLSA: Non-Exempt Page 3 <br /> Knowledge of: <br /> Good oral communications skills to explain policies and procedures and to deal with other <br /> employees, agencies and the general public using courtesy, tact and good judgment. <br /> Ability to: <br /> Establish and maintain complex manual and computerized filing and record-keeping systems. <br /> Operate standard office equipment such as typewriter, word processor, computer terminal and <br /> printer, calculator, and photocopier. <br /> Read, understand, apply and explain City/department policies and procedures. <br /> Work independently, organizing work with a minimum of supervision. <br /> Work quickly, accurately and thoroughly with close attention to detail to meet deadlines. <br /> Track and coordinate multi-step processes. <br /> Type at level required for specific position. <br /> Take and transcribe shorthand for specific positions. <br /> Experience and Training Guidelines Any equivalent combination of education and experience <br /> which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the job. <br /> Atypical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: <br /> Experience: <br /> Two years of clerical and/or secretarial experience. <br /> <br /> 1 Trainin , <br /> High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. <br /> Course work or experience in basic bookkeeping preferred for selected positions. <br /> License or Certificate , <br /> Valid Oregon State driver's license may be required for specific positions. <br /> _ <br /> _ . <br /> <br />
