On March 28, 2000 the District and City entered into an intergovernmental <br /> agreement for the Joint Use and Development of Youth Sports Parks and <br /> Athletic Fields ("Agreement"). The District and City have successfully <br /> operated under the Agreement. <br /> =B_ _~Yre I7istrict~nd-Crty-.have-expressed <br /> interest <br /> in-expanding upon the - <br /> _ <br /> -'-relationsli~p established <br /> in <br /> the <br /> Ag~eemexit <br /> to <br /> include <br /> tfie <br /> joint <br /> use and ~ ~ ~ <br /> operation of four new artificial surface multi-use athletic fields at Madison <br /> Middle School, Cal Young Middle School, Jefferson Middle School, and at <br /> either Spencer Butte Middle School or Roosevelt Middle School. The City is <br /> placing a bond measure on the November 2006 ballot to raise. funds to share in <br /> the costs of the four fields. The District and City wish to immediately expand <br /> upon the Agreement, as set forth in this Addendum, with the intent that the <br /> Agreement will be amended at a later date if the November 2006 ballot <br /> measure passes. Immediate expansion of the Agreement as provided in this <br /> <br /> ~ Addendum allows the District and City to continue the relationship <br /> established in the Agreement and incrementally expand the Agreement's <br /> scope based upon currently available District and City resources. <br /> C. Using its own funds, the District has begun the development of two new <br /> si-tifieial surface multi-t~se athletic fields at Madison Middle School and Cal <br /> _ _ _ <br /> I'oung I~~ladle. School. Tlie pu~esc; of this Addendum is to add the Iviadison _ _ <br /> and Cal Young Middle Schools artificial surface fields to the Agreement for - <br /> . joint District and City use and operation. In exchange for the District <br /> allowing. joint use. of the two new fields .under the Agreement, the City will <br /> provide funding for field lights for the two new fields.
