City of Eugene Contract#2007(1-00206 <br /> 7 ~ <br /> TASK ORDER 00-1 <br /> ACQUISITION OF NATIVE PLANTS AND SEEDS FOR AMAZON CREEK <br /> WETLANDS RESTORATION PROJECT <br /> Reference: Cooperative Agreement between the U.S. Army, Corps of Engineers, Portland District <br /> and the City of Eugene, Oregon, acquisition of native plants and seeds for the Amazon Creek <br /> wetlands restoration, section 1135 project <br /> Requesting Agency: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District <br /> Servicing Agency: City of Eugene, Oregon <br /> Description of Services: Under this task order the City of Eugene will collect, treat, grow-out, <br /> store, transport, clean, and propagate native wetland and upland seeds and plant materials needed <br /> for the Amazon Creek ~'~~etlands Restoration Project. This effort may include salvage of native <br /> plants from other wetland sites. Under this Task Order, the city may also provide labor and <br /> equipment crews for weeding and other control of non-native weedy species. <br /> The Corps of Engineers Will: <br /> i <br /> ~ 1. Continue to provide management and funds for completion of the Project's Phase II, which <br /> ~ involves a series of management prescriptions designed to restore small-scale surface hydrology, <br /> remove non-native species, and to plant and treat native plants with the goal of restoring a native <br /> ~VrlYainette~alley~vvet-prairie-wetland <br /> ecosystem.-Phas~II-prescriptions-will-include-filling-and- <br /> - estoring-sri?al-l--drainage-cliannets; fii-l-removal; remnva-l-af-reed-canary-gr-ass-and-other-invasi <br /> species, mowing, burning, plowing and scraping. In coordination with the City of Eugene, write and fund a separate contract for nursery <br /> services for propagating and planting native plant materials not provided by the City of Eugene as <br /> described below. <br /> 3. Provide, via contract rental, a tractor, drill and other necessary implements to seed and plant <br /> <br /> ~ native materials. <br /> The City of Eugene Will: <br /> 1. Provide staff to coordinate acquisition of plants and seeds needed for the project: <br /> 6 mos. @ 4,000 per mo. $24,000 <br /> 2.
