City of Eugene Contr #2007-00207 <br /> INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT <br /> LTD Contract #2006-41 <br /> BETWEEN: The City of Eugene, a unit of <br /> local government of the State of Oregon (City) <br /> AND: Lane Transit District, a unit of <br /> • local government of the State of Oregon (LTD) <br /> RECITALS <br /> A. ORS 190.010 provides that units of local government may enter into agreements for the <br /> performance of any and all functions and activities that any party to the agreement, its <br /> officers or agents have the authority to perform. <br /> B. In March of 2005, City entered into an agreement with the State of Oregon whereby the <br /> State of Oregon is to provide certain money to City for various pedestrian crossing <br /> islands. This agreement requires the City to provide certain matching. funds to implement <br /> the projects, and is attached hereto as: <br /> Exhibit - A WalkwayBikeway Project Agreement; Project Name: Various Pedestrian <br /> Crossing Islands, City of Eugene Contract No. 2005-00222 <br /> ("WalkwayBikeway Project Agreement"). <br /> C. The pedestrian crossing islands are near LTD transit stops, and LTD customers will use <br /> these islands, once built. Therefore, LTD desires to provide City, approximately one-half <br /> of the matching funds that it is anticipated will be required as the local match under the <br /> WalkwayBikeway Project Agreement. <br /> D. City and LTD have determined that the public interest is served through the agreements <br /> described in this document.- <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> LTD AGREES: <br /> L To pay.City $15,626 for the purpose of constructing pedestrian crossing islands in <br /> accordance with the WalkwayBikeway Project Agreement. <br /> 2. Upon completion, the WalkwayBikeway Project will be inspected and approved by the <br /> State of Oregon, under State Obligations paragraph 2 of the WalkwayBikeway Project , <br /> Agreement..
