1.3 Site Security <br /> The CITY and its contractor may leave their equipment at the work site. However, the <br /> Government will not be res onsible for the CITY's equipment or the CITY's contractor's <br /> P <br /> e ui ment if it should become lost stolen or dama ed. <br /> > g <br /> q p <br /> 1.4 Fire Precautions <br /> 1.4.1 All state fire laws will be followed. <br /> 1.4.2 Specific requirements for fire equipment may vary by local fire district. The CITY is <br /> required to check with local fire districts and furnish any equipment required by those <br /> districts. <br /> 2.0 DEFINITIONS <br /> None. <br /> 3.0 COOPERATOR-FURNISHED ITEMS <br /> All materials, supplies, and equipment needed to complete this work will be provided by <br /> the Cooperator. <br /> 4.0 GOVERNMENT-FURNISHED ITEMS <br /> The BLM will provide any needed NEPA documentation. <br /> <br /> 5.0 SPECIFIC TASKS <br /> <br /> 5.1 Sampling and Testing <br /> <br /> 5.1.1 Borings or Test Pits <br /> (1) The location and depth of the borings or test pits proposed by the Geotechnical <br /> Engineer shall be shown on a sketch accompanying the Geotechnical Engineer's <br /> proposal. If the Geotechnical Engineer finds it necessary to change the location or depth <br /> of any of these proposed borings, the Government shall be notified and a new location or <br /> depth shall be agreed upon between the Government and the Geotechnical Engineer. <br /> (2) If unusual conditions are encountered, including but not limited to unanticipated <br /> materials which cannot be penetrated by standard sampling equipment, the Geotechnical <br /> Engineer shall immediately consult with the Government. <br /> (3) The Geotechnical Engineer shall advise the Government as to any further exploration <br /> and testing required to obtain information that the Geotechnical Engineer requires for a <br /> <br />
