The application requested funding for recreation improvements <br /> related to the Delta Ponds Restoration Project in the amount of $250,000. The funding request was <br /> approved in August, 2003. <br /> Grant matchin funds total $820 000 or 77% of the total recreation ro'ect bud et. The matchin funds <br /> g P J g g <br /> come from a variety of sources as follows: <br /> Army Corp of Engineers $353,000 <br /> POS Bond Funds $200,000 <br /> CIP '04 Budget $250,000 <br /> Donated labor $17,000 <br /> Attached is an agreement for signature, between the Oregon Park and Recreation Department and the City <br /> of Eugene. The agreement commits the City to the work outlined in the grant application, and identifies <br /> procedures for reimbursement and record keeping. The procedures are reasonable, and staff are excited <br /> about the work these funds will facilitate. Grant funding will facilitate recreation improvements such as <br /> trails, bridges, viewing structures, interpretive signage, benches, portable restroom enclosures, and <br /> parking. <br /> Please contact Carolyn Weiss, Delta Ponds Recreation Project Manager, with any questions, 682-4914. <br /> <br /> Q~ <br /> _ _ <br /> <br />
