HAA031M00 <br /> STATEMENT OF WORK <br /> Task Order No. HEF041M07 <br /> 1.0 DESCRIPTION OF WORK <br /> The City of Eugene will conduct hazardous fuels reduction work on wetland and upland <br /> sites within the West Eugene Wetlands (WEW). This work may include, but is not <br /> limited to, removing ladder fuels, identifying and mapping potential hazar ous e s an <br /> non-native plants, coordinating with BLM fire staff and assisting with prescribed fire <br /> implementation, and mowing hazardous herbaceous and woody fuels. City of Eugene <br /> staff may also supervise, as needed, Northwest Youth Corps and Lane Metro Looking <br /> Glass youth crews hired by BLM under separate contracts, to complete projects for the <br /> BLM, Eugene District Office, West Eugene Wetlands Project. <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> 1.1 ACCESS/LOCATION <br /> Access to sites is via all-weather roads. All sites are located in the West Eugene Wetlands <br /> of the Eugene BLM District. They are located on varied terrain from steep to gentle <br /> slopes with various distances so that the tools will need to be packed in from the roads. <br /> Work areas will be at Government-approved sites. <br /> 1.2 WORK HOURS . <br /> Work hours, startlstop times for noise-making activities (power equipment may be <br /> operated) will be between two (2) hours after sunrise until (1) hour before sunset. <br /> 1.3 SITE SECURITY <br /> City personnel fulfilling the requirements of this Task Order can stage work based out the <br /> BLM facility at 751 South Danebo, Eugene, Oregon and use some BLM equipment. City <br /> personnel will be responsible to secure all tools on site in storage space provided. Staff <br /> will also be responsible to lock buildings if they are the last person leaving the office at <br /> the end of the work day. <br /> 1.4 FIRE PRECAUTIONS <br /> 1.4.1 All state fire laws will be followed. " <br /> 1.4.2 Specific requirements for fire equipment may vary by local fire district.
