Statement 4f Work <br /> Botanical Assist~uce for the West Eugene Wetlands Project <br /> Native Seed Program <br /> The following work iterrxs will be performed by the City of Eugene using services $om <br /> The Nature Conservancy of Oregon (TNC) in support of the BLM Eugene District and <br /> . the West Eugene Wetlands Partnership from the period of October 1, 2001 through. <br /> September 30, 2002_ The City will provide botanical technical assistance to help <br /> accomplish the following tasks: <br /> 1. Monitoring o~existing wetland restoration sites aad establaskarnent of a monitoring <br /> protocol on planned and xtew restoration proj ects. Monitoring ~wi1.l be primarily <br /> vegetation but may also include wildlife and hydrology. <br /> z. Surveying for and monitori~,g of special status plant species, including federally <br /> listed species. <br /> 3. l~Ta.tive seed collection under the guidance of. the West Eugene Wetlands BLM <br /> botanist. <br /> <br /> ' 4. Inventory and impleznezxtizag control measures for non-native vegetation, on both <br /> wetland and upland sites. <br /> 5. Prepares reports or portions of reports related to monitoring, plant surveys, site <br /> restorations, and seed collection. <br /> 6. Prepares and/or implements site restoration plans fhat may include prescribed fire, <br /> seeding, weeding, grading, fill removal, and planiYng. <br /> t' <br /> 7.
