The projects are being done to
provide decision makers with information on how transportation funds are being spent. As part
of this effort, the Audits Division has begun an audit of local agencies' use of state highway
funds. This letter is to inform you that your agency is among the 10 Oregon counties and 15
Oregon cities selected to be included in the study.
The audit, to be conducted on-site at the cities and counties, will review fiscal controls over state
highway funds, and compliance with key constitutional and statutory provisions. It also involves
a review of administrative and overhead expenditures, if any, from state highway funds. The
audit period is fiscal year 1996-1997.
The Audits Division has contracted with the firm of Talbot, Korvola & Warwick, LLP (TKW) to
perform the audit. TKW has subcontracted with Coopers & Lybrand, LLP to conduct a portion
of the audit.
We sincerely appreciate your cooperatior: You should-expect to receive a job: start ngtification
from our contractor in the next'few weeks.
