We would like to use this number so we don't have to permit a new PEPI when the work is still
for the same job. The work being done will be adding 12" thick concrete bus lane at existing intersection along Franklin
Blvd (Walnut, Villard, Agate, Onyx and E 11th). The plans should be completed next week with work starting a week or
two after that.
Please let me know if you have any question.
Thanks,
KO
From: OLSON Kris D
Sent: Friday, September 26, 2008 11:51 AM
To: 'Hemmer, Christopher J.'; 'MCCORMACK Joe'
Subject: Franklin Asphalt Repair Work
Chris and Joe,
I have reviewed the plans you sent and if this is the option LTD would like to use I request the follow be done to the plan
sheets:
• Could we get a set of the plans with the OLD layers turned off, it is hard to tell what is there and what is not (JB's,
loops, CB's...)
• If it is NOT a big problem can the scale be in feet and not metric
• Add two notes to the type sections stating that any striping that is removed will be replace and the same with any
loops
• On the Walnut section, make sure that the bus lane on the west side of the intersection goes to the north side of
the catch basin, not the center
• What are the lengths and spacing of the dowels?
Joe,
The City of Eugene will be doing the review and inspection under the existing permit for the Franklin Section of the EmX
(good Job Number 4332). Before any construction can start we will need a traffic control plan (takes 5 days to approve)
and a concrete mix design. There will be a one year warranty on the intersection work being done.
