Bare root trees may be planted only between Gctober 15th <br />and March 15th unless otherwise approved by the Urban Forester. Balled and burlapped or <br />container grown trees may be planted only between September 15th and April 15th unless <br />otherwise approved by the Urban Forester. <br />7.2 Site re oration, <br />7.2.1 Balled and burlapped and container grown trees: <br />7.2.1.1 Dig a shallow, broad tree planting hole at least 1-112 times the <br />diameter of the root ball and to a depth that will allow the trunk flare to be <br />level with existing ground, See Appendix B.} <br />7.2.1.2 Scare the edge of the hole to leave the edges rough and not <br />smooth. This will encourage rooting Into the existing native soil. <br />7.2.2 Bare-root stock: <br />7.2.2.1 Digtree-planting holes 1' wider than the spread of the roots <br />to allow the roots sufficient area. The hole shall have sufficient depth to <br />allow the trunk flare to be level with the existing ground. See Appendix B.} <br />7.2.2.2 Leave a mound in the center of the hole to drape and spread <br />roots in their natural position over the mound. See Appendix B.} <br />S.
