Through these <br />conversations, I learned that there is a different preferred approach that POS and Engineering use for certain aspects of <br />budget tracking on projects. Given those differences (and that each approach is valid, has associated pros and cons, and <br />has been used for many years successfully by each division), we've decided to use the following way for this work at Delta <br />Ponds. <br />• The two contracts that Scott Milovich is going to manage for us (one for mulching and seeding, the other for planting <br />trees) will identify the funding from the following. two GJNs: <br />• GJN 4572 (Delta Ponds ODFW Grant) <br />• GJN 100011 (POS Delta Pond OWEB Grant). <br />• Lauri Mullen will work with Scott to identify the amount of funding from GJN 4572 and GJN 100011 that will be <br />allocated to each contract. The percentage splits will be based on the specific language that we had in the <br />applications for the OWEB and ODFW grants. In addition, Lauri will work with Scott to identify the correct amount of <br />money from each of those GJNs to pay individual contract invoices. <br />• There will not be new GJNs created for each of the two contracts.
