Medlin, <br />Joyce Couper, Secretary <br />3alty Smith, Treasurer <br />~C~OG°p~ <br />This letter i$ written to give high praise to the efforts of Jackie Hallett in her recent <br />capacity as the Neighborhood Matching Grants Program grant manager. <br />Several months ago I met with you and several other individuals as our neighborhood <br />associatian began work on a$10,750 project to design, construct and install two public <br />information bulletin boards within our neighborhood. I clearly remember the tone you <br />set for the project. It was: "Let's get this project rolling; let's be e~"icient; and let's <br />reduce the paperwork." As a citizen volunteer, I felt Iike agglauding. <br />One person in the room was especially attentive to your directive, and that was Jackie. <br />As this project moved forward, there were certain inevitable dif~culties. We were <br />dealing with two governmental ent~ties - the City and School District 4J. There were <br />uncertainties regarding what the underground conditions would be. There were permit <br />processes to accomplish, and there were the design and construction details themselves. <br />Through a~ of th~t Jackie was always available and was diligent about seeking wise <br />solutions to whatever problems arose. Her behavior was consistently attentive and <br />friendly. As a result, the project was finished on time within $120 of the projected <br />budget.
