~ 96-33v <br />. <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT <br />This agreement entered into by and between LANE COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS, <br />an organization of governments within Lane County, Oregon, hereinafter referred to asI.-COG, <br />and the CITY OF EUGENE, hereinafter referred to as ELTGENE. <br />Whereas, ORS 190.010 provides that units of local government may enter into <br />agreements for the performance of any or all functions and activities that a party to the <br />agreement, its officers or agents have authority to perform; and <br />Whereas, L-COG and EUGENE agree that L-COG shall provide special services; and <br />Whereas, EUGENE desires to contribute funds for the ongoing operation of the <br />McKenzie Watershed Council; and <br />Whereas, L-COG is providing staffing to the McKenzie Watershed Council; <br />Whereas, both parties to this Agreement believe that such a program directly benefits the <br />parties' citizens and customers; <br />Now, Therefore, in consideration of the mutual agreement of the parties hereto, the <br />parties hereby agree as follows: <br />L-COG shall perform tasks as part of the integrated watershed program for the McKenzie <br />River, as described in Attachment A. EUGENE will contribute $5,000 to fund these tasks for the <br />period September 1, 1996 through February 28, 1997. ~ <br />This Agreement may be terminated upon 30 days notice of termination by either L-COG <br />or EUGENE.
