" .. . ... . _ ~ .. . ...." '
~~eacli of the.contract by the other party.
The Scope of Services to be provided by your firm, described in Exhibit B of the contract,
included conducting an aggressive candidate search; interviewing the most qualified candidates,
. conducting thorough reference checks, and the preparation of a report on the three to five most
,~ ~ qualified candidates. This work was to be completed by October 15th. Your firm had agreed to
~ initiate an extensive outreach effort to identify and contact potential candidates. It appears that
this work has not been done to date. In addition, while your firm has forwarded four resumes to
our office, there is no evidence that any of the background interviews and review have been
conducted by your office, nor were written reports on these candidates prepared or provided to
the City. As you are aware, timely accomplishment of these tasks is critical to the City.
Given the lack of performance of services by your firm, we feel that it is necessary to terminate
this contract immediately. Please provide the City with documentation related to th~-that
your fiim has done to date and associated expenses. We will review this material and the billing
that you recently submitted to determine fair compensation for services provicied to date.
Please contact me with questions or concerns regarding this contract.
Siri~erely, ,,
, I ~ ,
'Jn~ /i ~L~
~'~.,
' ~ ~~X/~~}' IJ~L / ~,'~._ ' ; ~ 1
~eslie Brown
Human Resources Manager
cc: Melissa Pearson, HRRS
Carol Case, ASD Purchasing
