At thisTime, WET partners include City of <br /> Eugene, Bureau of Land Management, The Nature Conservancy,;Oregan Youth Conservation Corps, Army <br /> Corps of Engineers, and U.S. Department of Fish & Wildlife. <br /> Mission Statement: To enable partner agencies and arganizations to effectivelyshare in the efficient and <br /> coordinated operation and management of the west Eugene wetlandsystem. <br /> Goals and.Objectives <br /> 1. Provide guidance and fiscal oversight to the management of the west Eugene wetlandssystem within <br /> the existing policy and legal frameworKoutlined in the Wes[Eugene Wetlands Plan and other public <br /> policy documents related to the project area. <br /> 2. Provide the network forsommunication and coordinated decision-making regarding capita! improve- <br /> mentSand managementofthe westfugene wetlands.system. <br /> 3. Provide efficiencies by cooperating in the managementofthe wetlandsystem in ways that take advan- <br /> tage of the strengths of the partners in a shared arrangement for'the mutual benefit of the environ- <br /> mentand the public. <br /> 4. Provide a forum for resolving conflicts in the spirit ofuting open communications as arr,opportunity to <br /> findpositivesolutions to problems. <br /> 5. Uselong range planning as the basis for sound management decision making and bring vision and <br /> creativity to the achievement of the multiple objectives outlined In the applicable Long range plans. <br /> 6. Review and evaluate wetland managementefforts for effectiveness and conformance with the WET's <br /> Mission, goals and objectives and the goals, objectives, policies and recommended actions of appli- <br /> cable long-range plans. <br /> 7. 'Establish priorities for research related to the wetlands system. <br /> 8. Strive to provide financial stability and excellence to the wetland management system. <br /> 9.
