Public Works
Engineering Division
City of Eugene
MEMORANDUM 858 Pearl Street
Eugene, Oregon 97401
(541)682-5291
(541) 682-5032 FAX

Date: July 23, 2001
To: Kurt Corey
From: Scott Duckett
Subject: Prep for Friday's WET Meeting.
You will be asked to sign a revised "WET Statement of Partnership" declaration at this Friday's WET meeting
as a way of inducting the US Fish & Wildlife Service into the West Eugene Wetlands program. I have attached
some related documents for your review:
1.) New "draft" version of the Statement that will be presented Friday.
2.) Revised version as signed by the parties in 1996 that added Oregon Youth Conservation Corps
and the Army Corps of Engineers as partners.
3.) Original MOA that references the WET Statement of Partnership as "exhibit A" and only
included BLM, TNC, & the City. Language is the same in all documents except the new one
includes a signature block for the USF&WS
Please note that the original MOA has not been altered to reflect the new members. Steve Gordon will propose
this as a future work item at the WET meeting. Steve & I agree that the WET Statement of Partnership is a
non-binding, non-legal document that is largely symbolic in nature, therefore it should be acceptable for
signature by the partner agencies. Please let me know if you have any questions.
