COREY Kurt A
From: MEDLIN Johnny R
Sent: Wednesday, July 24, 2002 1:56 PM
To: COREY Kurt A
Subject: Wetlands Education Center
Docl.doc
FYI this is a summary document talking about the costs to do the first stage of the Education Center in West Eugene.

This estimate shows a total needed at approximately $1.1 million for this phase to happen.

The money in 4J's bond totals $500,000. BLM is talking about doing some of the site development costs with in house

staff. I don't have an estimate of the amount this in-house work might reduce the total dollars needed.

With $500,00 in hand, that leaves Pat Johnson looking for another $600,000.

Just wanted you to know the background figures. We will be proposing some storm water fund money to go into the
capital budget to support the education center project, but I was only thinking in terms of $200 - 250,000. Another issue

for us will be deciding just how we will show we are benefited by the project to justify the money request in the CIP.

-Johnny
i
