~ ~ ~ .~ <br />ra <br />L i <br />~ <br />BID N0.29 <br />CALL FOR BIDS <br />Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon will receive sealed bids until Thursday, <br />August 28, 2008, until the Bid Closing time of 2:00 p.m. at the office of the City Engineer, 244 East Broadway, <br />Eugene, Oregon. The Bid Opening will be at 2:05 p.m., on Thursday, August 28, 2008, at the above location, at <br />which time and place those Bids will be opened and read. <br />Job 2'008 POTHOLE REPAIR PROJECT <br />4588 in five various locations (1,520 SF Pavement Removal; 1,871 TON Leve12, 3/8" Dense HMAC; 623 <br />TON Leve12, 3/8 Dense HMAC, Leveling Course; 317 TON Leve12,1/2"Dense HMAC, Hand Work) <br />All work shall be completed by October 31, 2008. <br />Plans and specifications may be reviewed and/or obtained at the office of the City Engineer, 244 East Broadway, <br />Eugene, Oregon 97401, for anon-refundable fee of $15.00 plus $6.50 postage. For other reviewing locations and <br />any questions regarding the project please call (541) 682-5560, or use our Engineering Bid Website www.eugene- <br />or. og v/PW to review Plans and Specifications. <br />Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bidder's bond payable to the City of Eugene in an <br />amount equal to ten percent of the amount bid. Filing of a qualification questionnaire before bidding will'not be <br />required. Contingent or conditional bids will not be considered for acceptance. This-public works improvement <br />project is subject to"payment of prevailing rate of wages, per BOLI ORS 2790.800 to 2790.870. No bid will be <br />received or considered unless the bid contains a statement by the bidder that provisions of ORS 2790.800 to <br />2790.870 pertaining to prevailing wage rates shall be complied with. <br />Bidders are required to submit aFirst-Tier Subcontractor Disclosure form, substantially as described in ORS <br />2790.370, prior to the Bid Closing Date and Time. For this project the first-tier subcontractor disclosure statement <br />must be submitted regardless, of the bid amount." <br />No bid will be accepted by the City unless it contains a statement by the bidder as a part of the bid that the bidder in <br />carrying out'the contract will comply with all applicable laws. <br />The City may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and <br />may rej ect for good cause any or all bids onto waive any specification or requirement upon a finding of the City that it <br />is in the public interest to do so. <br />Dated this 15th day of August, 2008. <br />Matt Rodrigues <br />Project` Manager <br />
