EXPENDITURES ON CLASSIFIED AND LOCAL ROADS AND <br />STREETS <br />Only those cities and counties that have expenditures on roads on the National Highway <br />System will need to complete Part IV. A list of the mileage for those who have roads on <br />the National Highway System has been included for the appropriate jurisdiction. <br />Continue to use the classification according to the Federal and State "Highway <br />Performance and Monitoring System" (HPMS). <br />The HPMS classification of road and streets is: <br />RURAL ROADS <br />Principal Arterial <br />Minor Arterial <br />Major Collectors <br />Minor Collector <br />URBAN STREETS <br />Freeway/Expressway <br />Principal Arterial <br />Minor Arterial <br />Collector <br />We wish to thank you for helping gather this information.
